His work on Enhanced External Counter Pulsation also received national attention as an FDA and Medicare approved alternative to angioplasty or bypass surgery.

Over the last 10 years he has dedicated much of his practice to perfecting the treatment of venous circulation and varicose veins in particular. He raised the awareness of cardiologists about this neglected circulatory issue and published two landmark articles in peer reviewed journals describing the importance of venous issues. Through his research in the field and his years of experience, he became one of the first cardiologists to become proficient in the newest treatment of varicose veins, and currently heads a prestigious venous training program for physicians and surgeons. He is a sought after lecturer for these disorders and routinely chairs international symposia.
